Lila and the Cloud Train
Every night before bed, Lila would gaze out her window, watching the clouds float across the moonlit sky.
She loved imagining shapes in the clouds—castles, dragons, even teacups! But one night, something amazing happened.
The clouds didn’t just float…
They moved in perfect lines, like train cars.
Then, chuff-chuff, a soft puff echoed through the sky. Lila blinked—and saw it. A train made entirely of clouds, glowing gently in the starlight, winding its way through the sky.
As if it had heard her dreams, the Cloud Train slowed… and stopped just outside her window.
A door opened.
“Ticket, please!” said a smiling conductor, who looked suspiciously like a cloud in a top hat.
With a giggle and a leap, Lila climbed aboard.
The seats were as soft as marshmallows.
The windows showed twinkling stars.
And every passenger was dreaming—some were snoozing bears, others were yawning kittens, and one was a glowing jellyfish in pyjamas.
“Where are we going?” Lila asked.
“To the Land of Gentle Dreams,” said the conductor. “We make special stops for children with big imaginations.”
The train whistled again and soared through the sky, passing the Moon, waving to comets, and dipping through shooting stars. Each dream stop was more magical than the last:
- A candy cane forest with lullaby trees
- A floating island of sleepy dragons
- A sky library where dreams were written in golden ink
Lila watched it all with wide eyes and a sleepy smile. Soon, her eyelids grew heavy, and the Cloud Train gently rocked her into slumber.
When the train pulled back to her window, the conductor tucked a dream feather in her hair and whispered,
“Anytime you dream big, we’ll be back.”
Lila woke up in her bed, snug under her blanket, with a tiny puff of cloud still resting on her pillow.
And every night after, she kept one eye on the sky… just in case the Cloud Train came by again.
Goodnight, little dreamer. All aboard.
